Biobag comes from a profound driving force to do better as soon as we know better. With the serious climate challenges we face today, we can no longer afford to change culture and behaviour slowly. Consequently, we are driven to make people, businesses, municipalities, and even governments more active, conscious, and deliberate when it comes to making small adjustments for the greater good of the bioeconomy. We believe that each and every one of us should take it upon ourselves to make the small and realistic adjustments to our habits. Not only to make them less harmful to the environment but to make them beneficial to our shared bioeconomy. Our overall purpose at Biobag is to create actual behaviour that will have the biggest environmental impact possible.

We bring to market compostable and biodegradable products for waste management, food services, retail, industrial applications, agriculture, and any industry that, like us, wants to do better by the environment. The overwhelming and confusing climate debate has left most of us not knowing how to actively change behaviour for the better, but our motivation to do better has grown only stronger. As we move forward, we continue to invent and produce products that will make existing behaviour and habits less harmful and more beneficial to us all.

Biobag offers an alternative to conventional plastic bags. Our bags, sacks, and liners become a natural part of the organic waste they collect, ensuring no persistent microplastic pollution in the biomass and fields. They are suitable for biogas production and composting, providing a tangible tool to give back to the bioeconomy. All Biobag bags are certified fully biodegradable and compostable. Our products are certified compostable according to the European Standard EN 13432, the US Standard ASTM D6400, and the Australian Standard AS4736. Additionally, BioBag holds compostable and biodegradable certificates issued by certification institutions like TÜV Austria (OK Compost) and BPI (USA).
