SCHÜTZ is coming to Scanpack: With innovations for reduced CO2

Scanpack is where players in the packaging industry meet. An arena for new technology, new materials, and innovative solutions. One of the exhibitors this year is SCHÜTZ. A global producer of innovative, sustainable packaging, SCHÜTZ strives to reduce carbon footprint throughout the packaging industry.

With 55 production and service facilities around the world, SCHÜTZ makes packaging for, among other things, dangerous goods, chemicals, and sensitive foods. In October, this major player in the packaging industry is coming to Scanpack. Tom-Jarle Høgberg is Sales Manager for Sverige and Norway at SCHÜTZ Nordic and has been working at the company for seven years.

– One of the hottest issues in the industry right now is the climate. And at SCHÜTZ, we place great focus on responsible use of materials and care for the environment. We want to create added value that transcends the customers’ supply chain, Tom-Jarle says.

And just as Tom-Jarle says, a major transition is currently taking place to reduce the climate impact. A transition that extends far beyond just the boundaries of the packaging industry, affecting the entire sector. CO2 emissions must be reduced.

– One of the news we will showcase at Scanpack is Green Layer IBC. Packaging in which we have increased the proportion of recycled material in the inner container to 30%. This means a 6.8 kilo decrease in CO2 emissions per IBC. This is a whole new way of using the material – one that is not only part of meeting the needs of our customers but that is also a necessary development that doesn’t require any compromise on quality.

Why should visitors come to Scanpack?

– The Nordic packaging industry gathers under one roof. Meeting people is a source of great joy for us, and I hope for exciting meetings on a common platform. Above all, it will be interesting to see what the packaging industry can do, together.
